WHAT EXACTLY DOES THE GUEST INSIDER PROVIDE?

The Guest Insider provides independent, confidential guest experience evaluations for luxury hotels, boutique properties, resorts, private members' clubs and fine dining restaurants. Each evaluation is conducted anonymously by one of our carefully selected observers, assessed across our proprietary framework of more than 1,000 hospitality touchpoints; or 750 for restaurant evaluations, and delivered as a private report prepared exclusively for the commissioning property. Our reports combine quantitative scoring with qualitative narrative, giving your leadership team both the structure to identify where the experience excels or falls short, and the language to understand precisely why. They are written to be read, understood, and used, not archived. We do not advise, prescribe or publish. We simply observe and report with complete honesty.

 

DO YOU PROVIDE MANAGEMENT OR STAFF TRAINING SERVICES ALONG WITH YOUR GUEST EXPERIENCE REPORTS?

No, and this is a deliberate choice. The Guest Insider focuses exclusively on delivering independent guest experience evaluation reports. We are observers, not advisors. We believe that the leaders best placed to interpret and act on insight about your property are the ones who know it most deeply your own team. Our role is to give them the most honest, detailed account of the guest experience available. What they do with that is entirely their own. This independence is not a limitation. It is the source of our value. A report delivered without agenda, prescription, or accompanying service to sell is a report you can trust entirely.


WHY WOULD A PROPERTY WANT AN INDEPENDENT REPORT WITHOUT MANAGEMENT ADVICE?

The most considered hospitality brands are led by people who already know how to deliver exceptional experiences. What they often lack is not expertise, it is honest, objective visibility into how the experience they have designed is actually being received. Public reviews offer impressions. Internal feedback reflects what teams choose to share. An independent evaluation offers something neither can provide: a complete, unfiltered account of the guest experience as it truly exists, delivered privately, without recommendation or external influence. Many of the finest properties in the world operate with full creative and operational autonomy. They do not need to be told how to run their hotel. They simply want to know; with certainty, how their guest experience is perceived. That is precisely what we provide.


HOW ARE YOUR EVALUATIONS DIFFERENT FROM MYSTERY SHOPPING PROGRAMMES?

The distinction begins with philosophy. Mystery shopping is a compliance tool, designed to measure performance against a set of predefined criteria. Our evaluations are something quite different: a genuine, immersive guest experience, observed and recorded with the depth, nuance and humanity that only a true guest can provide. Where mystery shopping tends toward the transactional; did the greeter smile within three seconds; was the upsell offered, our framework is designed to capture the quality of an experience in its entirety: the atmosphere of arrival, the texture of the service, the moments that create memory or erode it. Our evaluators are not following scripts. They are guests; curious, discerning, and attentive. The result is a report that reads not like a compliance audit, but like the most considered and detailed account of your guest experience ever written. We think of it less as mystery shopping and more as commissioning an independent editorial review; private, in full, delivered only to you.

 
WHO CONDUCTS YOUR EVALUATIONS?

Our evaluators are hand-selected through in-person interview and form part of an intentionally small, curated team; led by our founder. We have no interest in scale for its own sake. Every evaluator we add must meet the same standard as the last. We prioritise character, considered judgement and direct experience across both traditional and contemporary hospitality. Our evaluators are chosen not only for what they have seen, but for their ability to experience a property the way today's most discerning guest would; with curiosity, genuine attentiveness and an instinct for what matters. Every evaluation is conducted with complete discretion. Our observers carry no visible notes, make no indication of their purpose and experience the property in full as a paying guest would. The result is feedback that is credible, specific and deeply human.

 
ARE YOUR EVALUATIONS TRULY ANONYMOUS?

Yes, entirely. Our evaluators make reservations and arrive as any guest would, with no advance notice given to the property and no indication of their purpose during the visit. They experience the property in full, from the first point of contact through to departure. We take the integrity of our anonymity seriously. Evaluators rotate across properties. No member of your team will know an evaluation has taken place until the report is delivered. This anonymity is not simply a process requirement; it is the condition under which honest evaluation becomes possible. The experience we observe is the experience your guests receive every day.

 
IS THERE A MINIMUM COMMITMENT OR SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED?

Not at all. Evaluations can be commissioned on a single, one-time basis with no obligation to continue. Many properties begin with a single report; to understand their guest experience at a particular moment, ahead of a relaunch, or following a significant change to their team or offering. Others choose to evaluate on a seasonal or regular basis, building an ongoing picture of how their experience evolves across different periods and guest profiles. We accommodate both approaches equally and everything in between. Membership of The Guest Insider; which grants access to our Members' Area, priority scheduling, and a dedicated concierge contact is granted automatically upon completion of your first evaluation and is complimentary as part of our service. There is no subscription fee and no obligation to book further evaluations to maintain your membership.


WHAT IS THE FIRST STEP IF WE ARE INTERESTED?
